Early Childhood and Lower School
The extended care program is available before and after regular school hours on the Japonica Campus. Morning care begins at 7:00am. Students gather in the gymnasium. They go to class at 7:40 when teachers open their classrooms. After school care is available until 5:45pm on regular school days. There is no Extended Care / Morning Care available on Spring Festival Day, End of the Year Party Day, or School Holidays. The exception to this is March 9, 10, and 11 during Mardi Gras Break and April 9-13 during Spring Break. These days will be available for an additional fee. The hours will be 7:30am until 5:30pm.
Students have a supervised homework time during after school care and enjoy a variety of age-appropriate activities including sports, board games, and outdoor play under the care of Lynn Yeager and her staff. There is a fee for before and after school care.
A Summer Camp Program for enrichment and recreation is available on campus during the summer months. This is an exciting program that includes art, library time, field trips, swimming, and time to relax with friends.
Middle and Upper School
A supervised extended care program for Grades 6-8 is available on the University Campus until 6:00pm daily. Care is also available when the school has a noon dismissal. Students report to the library where they have a supervised homework time and are able to relax in a warm, relaxing atmosphere. Students must be picked up by 6:00pm by a parent or authorized person indicated on the registration card. if there is a change of plans, please notify Extended Care. There is a monthly fee of $120 for after school care. Provisions can be made for keeping a student on a daily drop-in basis. The cost for daily drop-ins is $12 per day.
